Road Survey – Car Dashcam Lite (“App”) is developed and maintained by Dr. C. Naveen Kumar (“Developer”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).
This Privacy Policy explains how the App accesses, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the App.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Access
The App requests access only to the information and device features required to perform its core road survey and dashcam functions.

The App accesses your device’s GPS location to:

- Overlay GPS coordinates on captured photographs and videos.

Location data is used only while you are using the App’s survey or recording features.
b) Camera
The App uses your device camera to:

- Record dashcam videos.
- Document road conditions, road furniture, pavement markings, traffic signs, and other survey observations.
c) Microphone
The App may access the microphone to record audio together with videos when video recording is enabled.
d) Photos, Videos and Audio Files
The App creates photographs, videos and audio recordings as part of road survey activities.
These files are stored on your device unless you choose to export, copy or share them.
2. How We Use Information
Information collected by the App is used solely for:
- Road survey documentation.
- Dashcam recording.
- Asset inventory and inspection.
- Displaying GPS coordinates, timestamps and survey overlays.
- Recording field observations.
- Generating survey records and reports.
- Improving the functionality and reliability of the App.
We do not use your information for advertising or marketing purposes.
3. Data Storage
Survey information generated by the App is stored locally on your device.
The Developer does not automatically upload your:
- GPS survey data
- Photographs
- Videos
- Audio recordings
- Survey records
to any Developer-operated server.
You remain responsible for managing, backing up, exporting or deleting files stored on your device.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information or survey data with third parties.
Data is shared only when you intentionally choose to:
- Export files,
- Share files,
- Upload files using another application,
- Copy files from your device.
The App itself does not automatically share your survey data.
5. Internet Access
The App requests Internet permission to support application functionality such as platform services or network-dependent features when available.
The App is not intended to upload your road survey photographs, videos, audio recordings or GPS survey data to Developer-operated servers without your knowledge or action.
6. Third-Party Services
The App may interact with Android platform services or Google services that are necessary for normal application operation.
These services operate under their own privacy policies.
Examples may include:
- Google Play Services
- Google Maps (if used)
We encourage users to review the privacy policies of these third-party services.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information processed by the App.
However, no electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Users are encouraged to protect their devices using passwords, PINs or biometric authentication.
8. Your Choices
You may:
- Grant or deny permissions through Android Settings.
- Revoke permissions at any time.
- Delete photographs, videos, audio recordings and survey files stored on your device.
- Uninstall the App to remove application data.
Some features may not function correctly if required permissions are denied.

Depending on your Android version and device, the App may request permissions including:

- Internet
- Bluetooth (when required by connected devices)
- Storage access (where required by Android)
Each permission is requested solely to provide the App’s intended functionality.
10. Children’s Privacy
Road Survey – Car Dashcam Lite is not designed for or directed toward children. The App is intended for general users, including drivers, road survey professionals, researchers, engineers, contractors, consultants, and other users performing road inspection or dashcam recording activities.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that personal information has been collected from a child in violation of applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete such information.
Parents or legal guardians who believe that a child has provided personal information through the App may contact us using the contact information below.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
When changes are made, the updated version will be published on this page together with the revised Effective Date.
Continued use of the App after the updated Privacy Policy becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

Application is designed to assist you in understanding how the app uses the Services which include gps co-ordinates, place information, Crash analysis and internet.
